80% of what you can do with WordPress is very easy. That’s why you see all kinds of “WordPress Made Easy” Youtube videos and books. It is very easy to do a lot in WordPress without knowing how to code.

20% of WordPress is very difficult and requires an expert engineer familiar with code. I am a WordPress engineer who specializes in helping companies with that 20%. This usually involves making WordPress do things it does not do out of the box. I solve problems like – “How do I make my site do such and such?”

Custom WordPress Engineering

If you have an existing WordPress site and need some added functionality, contact me. Perhaps you want your site to communicate with Google Apps or Sales Force. I can create the code, via a plugin, to do that for you. Maybe you want to add e-Commerce functionality to your site, or make portions of your site available to members only, or add Google Maps to a page. I can set this up for you. Security

I can conduct a security audit of your site. The results will be a report to you of where your site is vulnerable to hacking and take down. The report will also include specifics of what I can do to harden your site against hacks and malicious attacks. Do not let your set be taken over.

Site Optimization

Google now also includes page load time in their determination of page rank. In other words, all other things being equal, a slower loading page gets ranked lower in the search results. That is why it is important for your site to be very, very fast. I can do an audit of your site to determine where it is slow. And then I can make it faster, which may include off-loading parts of the site or content to CDN storage or Amazon S3.

Fixing Problems

Has your site been hacked or maybe the database powering your WordPress site has lost records? Maybe you have made a mistake with the css file or functions.php file that causes the web page to appear blank or show an error. If so, I can fix this. If you need a change made to an existing WordPress theme, I can do that for you.
